The
English Setter, also referred to as a Laerack Setter, is an English
breed. It is one of the oldest gun dog breeds in the world. This
breed was developed by crossing pointers with Spanish spaniels.
This breed typically stands between 24 and 27 inches tall and it
usually weighs between 56 and 66 pounds. Their coat is short and
dense, except on their underbody, legs, and tail where they have
feathering. They come in a variety of color combinations including,
liver and white, black and white, lemon and white, orange and white,
and tricolor. This is a relatively healthy breed. The only thing
that you need to watch out for is hip dysplasia.
