Dog training techniques
I love dog training. I spend my days working with my client's dogs
and training my own dogs, writing about dog training, reading about
dog training, and talking about dog training with my trainer friends.
Dogs are great and have proven themselves to be one of the most
trainable animals out there. They excel in so many different arenas.
You can train a dog to hunt, to protect, to sled, to catch, to retrieve,
and so much more. I truly believe that their character and temperament
make them the most versatile creature other than the human, truly
man and woman's best friend.
While dogs can be trained to do so many things, the purpose of
this section is a bit more cut and dry. So many people are looking
for answers on how they can get better control over their dogs.
How can you teach your dog to reliably obey the commands that you
give him? There are hundreds of methods but the best one is the
one that works for you. The methods I am going to propose in many
of these articles that I have written are great methods. They work.
I know they work because I have used them and do use them every
day and am lucky to see wonderful results.
So enjoy training your dog. If you do this correctly, both you
and your dog should have a lot of fun. Be patient, be consistent,
and enjoy. Good luck and good training.
