How To Correct Dog Aggression

It is crucial that you know how to correct your dog’s aggression when it occurs.  Just ignoring the aggression or trying to entice your dog away from being aggressive with a treat is not going to work.  It sounds great on paper but isn’t going to help 99% of aggressive dogs out there.

In this video you’ll see in action a method I call my ‘Distance Method’.  It’s all about correcting your dog’s aggression and helping your dog change his frame of mind away from his aggressive trigger.

  1. I am really worried about the aggression of my Neapolitan mastiff dog. My wife and i are soon to have a baby and I’m worried that my dog’s aggression could be harmful. What should I do? Will dog socialization help?

So true! I strongly agree with this one.

I watched the video, and was thrilled at your explinations… my female 3 year old ESS is starting to silently attach other dogs, and she targets them… she is obedience trained, and has several titles under her collar. I can be standing with friends after classes, and if she doesn’t like a dog, she “eye balls” them, and then when they walk away, she trys to snap at there butt, or if they come up to her excited, she will snap at their face. she does not “Go after them” she is more like the “snipper in wait” The other thing she is doing.. is if she is in my truck, in her kennel, she sometimes start to bark and act aggresive as the person walks by the truck, with or without a dog. but not every time. Can your program help me?

Yes. My program shows three main parts to fixing aggression:
1- Obedience. It sounds like your dog has good obedience. I’m betting you could use the program to find small areas to improve your dog’s obedience.
2- Use the obedience to control aggressive triggers. I show how to apply obedience around the cause of the dog’s aggression.
3- How to correct dog aggression. This third step, I think, would be big for what you are looking to accomplish. You need to know how to address this aggression before or during it’s occurrence.

      Best of luck.
