AUDIO: Your Questions Answered- Part 5
Ty Brown
Upon launching this site I asked you for your most pressing dog training questions. I received tons of responses. Here are the answers to your training questions: - 1. My dog likes to take things and run. Her favorite plaace is under the dining room table where it is a big deal to get to her. She is a grweat dog and I am sure that she does it for attention (like she doesn't get any right?) With a large family it is nearly impossible to keep EVERYTHING out of her reach. She is very well behaved, but this behavior is always when we are getting ready to leave or I am on the phone with an important call. She's 1 1/2 old.
2. How long will my dog chew like crazy? She's a 1 1/2 years old? I provide rawhide, nyla-bones, plenty of exercise, mental stimulation. . . . . . all of the prescribed things. - Ty, great idea. 1- How do I get my dog to quit jumping on furniture?
2- How can I get my dog to use the general same spot to use the bathroom? - Why is our dog Cholo a chihuahua and my son's dog Chaunce so afraid of me only that they get aggressive? How do I train him to correct this? - 1) Best way to get a small dog/puppy from biting, chewing on eveything?
2) After the death of one of your beautiful dogs, what is the best way to introduce a new puppy to the dog you have? - I have maltese and yorkie dogs. The males like to pee on my funiture............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They also pee on my rugs at times.........I cant seem to catch them in the act though, Thank you. - How dogs learn relationship of "pack" family members and dog (not the same for all)?
Behaviors you need to follow to establish yourself as leader of the pack?
- Tempers and punishment MUST be controlled?
- Think like a dog? - The two most important questions I would have are:
1. How do you train loose leash walking with big dogs, who like to lead?
2. how do you train a dog to listen and learn commands? (sit, come, stay etc.) -My two biggest concerns are;
House Training
Barking for hours when I leave her alone or overnight in a crate.
