Month 1 Training Module- How to Fix Dog Aggression
Ty Brown
Get a risk-free trial of my aggression training modules. The first step in fixing aggression in your dog is to start increasing the level of structure in your dog's life. Structure, obedience, and control are the opposites of aggression, anxiety, and fear. Bottom line, if you want to fix aggression you've got to augment your obedience. In this first month's module I want you to work on your dog's ON-LEASH obedience. Some may think that their dog already has basic obedience and doesn't need this module but I would disagree. 99% of the clients I've worked with in the last several years have needed this exact training in order to improve their dog's on leash obedience. Remember, what we're looking for is complete off leash control even with distractions. We can't have that until we have 100% on leash control. Over the next month I want you to keep your dog on a leash whenever you are with your dog. In the house, outside, or wherever you happen to be I want you to keep your dog on a leash. This will allow you to actually reinforce the training we will do. Most people want to train their dogs with their voice, that doesn't work well. Dogs are physical learners. By keeping a leash on your dog you will be in a position to reinforce all the commands you've been wishing your dog would perform reliably. Go through the following videos over the course of this month. You'll need this on leash obedience foundation before you can proceed to the next level. In this section I'm going to present a variety of methods. Every dog has different learning styles and every dog owner has different strengths. Don't worry when you see different methods for the same obedience behavior. Simply practice, experiment, and work with the different methods and see which suits you best. THE FORMULA-
