Every dog and every owner needs to know the principles behind housebreaking and house training. The formulas and methods you will learn in the following resources are fool-proof and work every time. Dig in and get ready to have a house trained dog. As a dog trainer I have a 100% success rate in teaching clients and dog owners how to potty train their dog whenever a dog owner applies what I show them. Sure, some dogs are more difficult than others but my method gets most dogs to stop going to the bathroom in the house usually within days. Once we get the dog to stop going in the house, then we can start teaching the dog how to have freedom in the house. Understand My Housebreaking Formula
In training dogs I have a lot of 'Formulas'. What I mean by that is there are certain things that work every time. Don't get me wrong, they need to be applied correctly to each individual dog, but if you can apply certain things the right way to a dog you can have predictable and positive results. If you want predictable results then follow this formula that has worked with countless dogs. A big part of my formula for house training a dog is preventing your dog from going to the bathroom in the first place. A big part of the prevention step is to supervise your dog. It can be very difficult to supervise a dog that isn't well trained. An obedient dog is easy to supervise. Think about it; if your dog comes when called, stays when told, and follows you around the house it becomes very easy to supervise your dog. The initial part of my formula is to keep a leash on your un-house trained dog while in the house. This is a good first step. You can't keep a leash on your dog forever, though. As your dog progresses you want to wean your dog off the leash and use voice commands and obedience to supervise your dog. Train Your Dog to Stay on Command
If your dog stays on command he or she CAN'T sneak off and go potty around the house. Staying when told is incredibly important.
Video- Train the 'Place' Command- I usually like to start with training a dog or puppy to stay on a bed. By giving your dog a target and a location to stay you will often find that your dog gets the idea much quicker. It's not uncommon for my students to have their puppies staying in a bed for 10 minutes or more very quickly. Imagine how much easier it would be to supervise your puppy or dog if he or she stayed in a bed.

Video- Train your dog to sit, lie down, and stay- Remember, if your dog stays when told it makes it so much easier to supervise him. Your dog can't sneak off and go potty if he's staying put.
