There are very few dog trainers in the country teaching obedience training at this level. When it’s used properly an e-collar (or electric dog training collar) can be one of the most humane tools you have for achieving advanced level obedience.
My definition of advanced level obedience is a dog who comes when called, no matter what and no matter the distraction. A dog who stays when told, even with heavy distraction and even off leash. A dog who heels on and off leash even around distracting areas.
