hi Ty i recently adopted a 7mt pomaranian dog called ‘Charlie’ he is now 1yr and i could really do with your help,i am absolutely deperate as i might have to let him go because of my neighbours complaining about his barking when i am not in my flat,i love charlie soo much and it would break my heart if i had to give him to someone else and it would break charlie’s heart aswell as we have a very strong bond. I live on my own and had to retire at an early age due to the fact that i broke my back in 2002,so i am with Charlie all the time, but when i go to physiotherepy obviously he cant come with me and to doctors appointments, when i leave he cries, barks and is generally distructive,i have bought him toys to stimulate him to keep him occupied i.e a cong and other bone shape toys,my neighbour suggested that i get him a muzzle to stop him barking, but i really dont know what to do,i know that you must be a very busy man but please please please can you offer me some suggestions,i would be soo grateful
Yours faithfully

p.s i mentioned that i broke my back years ago,but that dosent stop me taking Charlie out for regular excersise
Hi Ty,

Hi Ty, My son has this 4 and a half great dain puppy, and i babysit him a couple days a week, he likes to bite me, and I have the marks to show for it, he doesnt like to listen to me, he is a good puppy most of the time, but when he want to do what he wants, it is hard for me to make him listen to me, what do I need to do to get him to stop biteing me and to listen when i say stay , for him to stay.
You need to start training right away. Before giving advice, though, I want to know what people have done? Have you already read the articles on this site about biting and obedience training and applied them?
I would immediately telling him “No Bite” every time he starts biting you, and stop interacting with him. Be consistent, and just ignore the puppy. OR when he starts biting you, replace your hand or arm with a chew toy, or something you DO want him to bite.
Hi Ty, Just wanted to check in and let you know that Sierra is doing REALLY well. I am so happy with her and she is so much better behaved. It is nice to be able to sit on my front porch and have her out there with me enjoying things. She is great on trail and responds well. Overall I am so very pleased with the changes your help brought about in her behavior. Take good care and thanks again.

Ty with DogBehavionOnline.com, helped me so much with the entire doggy process. He helped me along every step of the way, beginning with the breed of dog, to finding a reputable breeder, then finally training our newest family member. Thanks to Ty we don’t just have a dog, we have a great addition to our family.

Ty, I just wanted to say thanks for the training for Boo. He has just been awesome. He is so much calmer and we have been practicing the things on the list and he is doing great. I thought he was good on a leash when we went walking, but he is tons better now. I love it. I will definitely recommend you to anyone who is having pet issues. Thanks again!

If you’re only gone for a few hours here and there why not use a crate?
