Don’t you dare call my Foundation Obedience basic obedience training. I don’t DO basic obedience training. To me, basic obedience training is all about getting your puppy or dog to sit for a treat, stay for a treat, etc. This style of training is damaging to the relationship you have with your dog and will never progress beyond anything basic.
Instead, my style is about training dogs to realize that obedience is the rule but that it is also enjoyable to be obedient due to praise and the common bond that comes from really great obedience.
In my foundation obedience program I work on teaching dog owners the three main behaviors that can solve nearly 99% of all behavior problems. If you can master these training techniques you can be in great shape to have the perfect dog.
